Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Port Hueneme Residents Directory, a privately operated reference to Ventura County, Port Hueneme, California, federal, library, and historical record routes. By using the pages, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the reference or its search tools.

1. About This Reference

Port Hueneme Residents Directory describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, court and vital-record routes, and historical directory collections connected with Port Hueneme and Ventura County. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with any city, county, state, federal, court, library, or records office.

2. Acceptable Use

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or information reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person.
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act.
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the pages at scale.
  • Interfere with operation, security, or access controls.

3. No Consumer Reports

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency as that term is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 et seq. The pages and linked search results are not consumer reports. Nothing here may be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. Outside Links

Links lead to Ventura County portals, Port Hueneme offices, California agencies, federal databases, libraries, archives, and sponsored search providers. Each external service has its own terms, privacy practices, availability, and charges. Port Hueneme Residents Directory is not responsible for an outside provider's content or data handling.

5. No Warranties

The reference is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a page, link, record description, fee, coverage date, search tool, or external portal is accurate, complete, current, or available. Confirm a record with its custodian before relying on it.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from use of this reference or an outside resource, including a decision made from a record found through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless the operators from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable attorneys' fees that arise from your misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original writing, design, logo, and layout belong to the operators or their licensors and are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief attributed excerpt is permitted. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the content is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

New terms may be posted by replacing the version on this page. Continued use after the change means that the revised terms are accepted.

10. Access Restrictions

The operators may block or limit access for a user who violates these terms, abuses a search tool, or threatens the reference, with or without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, governs requests to California agencies, not this private reference. The CPRA's ten-day determination rule in Government Code section 7922.535 belongs to the agency receiving a request.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent the law permits.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Requests for a government record should go to the custodian identified on the relevant Port Hueneme or Ventura County page.
